The Hellenic Military Academy was founded in Nafplion on the 1st of July 1828 by Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first head of state of independent Greece.
Nafplion was the capital of Greece then.
The motto of the Military Academy is : "If you learn to obey/be ruled, others will obey you/or you will leanr to rule"
